Christmas Biscuit is our chubby amigurumi puppy dressed for the holidays, with long floppy ears, a brown patch over one eye, a red Santa hat with a fluffy pompom and a green cord scarf.
He is worked in simple single crochet rounds, so he is a sweet first Christmas toy to make. Every piece has step-by-step photos, and at the end you can make a spotty Dalmatian Santa with the same pattern.

Christmas Biscuit Free Crochet Pattern
What You’ll Need
- Sport / fine (size 2) cotton yarn in cream, white, brown, red and green, plus a little black for the nose
- 2.5 mm crochet hook (a hook smaller than the yarn label suggests keeps the stitches tight)
- A pair of 10 mm safety eyes
- Fiberfill stuffing
- Tapestry needle, sewing pins and a stitch marker
The finished size depends on your yarn and hook: thicker yarn and a bigger hook make a bigger Christmas.

FAQ
Can I make the puppy without the hat?
Yes. Skip the Santa hat and pompom and you have Biscuit, our everyday puppy. You can find him in the related patterns below.
Which yarn is best?
A smooth sport-weight cotton shows the stitches clearly and keeps the hat cone stiff. Velvet yarn makes a softer puppy but hides the stitches.
Is it safe for babies?
Safety eyes can come loose with hard play. For a baby, embroider the eyes with black yarn instead.
